A Small-Town Dream to Ride Together

I didn’t grow up in a horse family, but I was lucky in a different way—my parents supported my dream of riding even without having the knowledge, resources, or connections about this lifestyle. They gave me the chance to have my little spotted Fox Trotter, Maggie, and that meant everything to me.

For years, it was just the two of us—riding alone on the same driveway, looping the same trail, circling the same round pen day after day. Those moments shaped my love for my horse in a really special way, but I always dreamed of more. I found myself curious about what more might be out there: deeper connections, new adventures, opportunities and a community of people who also enjoyed life in the saddle.

A couple of years ago, Maggie and I joined a new barn where riding became something shared. We found our people and formed partnerships that filled different needs for each of us. It opened my eyes to a more connected side of the horse world. One built not just on riding, but on showing up for each other, sharing resources and having fun together! From trail rides, picnics, clinics, parades, fairs, corn mazes… I felt like I was making up for lost time, and finally stepping into everything I’d once imagined..

Met through Horsetok, Stayed For The Friendship

I started sharing my relatable horse experiences on TikTok, and the responses truly surprised me. Riders from all over the world reached out, sharing similar feelings that they were also looking for connection, ways to share resources, and opportunities to create adventures together. It made me realize that beyond my own small circle, there was a much larger community of horse people craving the same sense of belonging.

TikTok quickly became a space where I could meet new friends, learn from others, and offer support to each other. Through these connections, something shifted for me. This dream of building a stronger, more connected horse community wasn’t just personal anymore, it was something so many of us wanted.

From there, Giddyapp was born. A centralized place where riders and horse enthusiasts everywhere could come together, share more, connect, and do more together.
